The April Challenge will have the theme "Poetry", in honor of the fact that April is National Poetry Month, and we are asking the participants to try their hand at a poem! To receive your element, respond to this post and tell me if you want a noun, verb, adjective or adverb. You will be given one word to use. You may use it in the poem or the title, or just use it as inspiration.
Because we have not done a poetry challenge before, I'll be making some posts about poetry at the LOTR_Community_GFIC email group. There will be posts about different types of poems and links to sites on writing poetry.
The April challenge poems will be due the weekend of Friday April 15,and will be revealed on Monday, April 18. Please tag your story "poem". Please remember to use the header template on the community profile page, and to put the name of your story and your name in the subject line.
To request your word, please leave a comment saying whether you want a noun, verb, adjective or adverb, to this post. If you have not participated before, please leave an email address so that I can send you your elements. Or you can email the mods at aelfwina@gmail.com or virginia_lee_redcat@yahoo.com
I hope we'll have lots of participants for our April challenge!

Question: are authors allowed to submit more than one piece, either for multiple elements or multiple pieces for the same element? Because a single poem over the course of a month doesn't seem like enough. I looked in the rules and couldn't find anything that mentioned a limit to the number of entries allowed per contestant.
If multiple entries are allowed, I would like one of each part of speech. If not, I would like a verb.

(BTW, and OT: Have you seen my Lent posts on LJ? I've been posting something inspirational each day of Lent on my LJ-- sometimes quotes, Bible verses or other things). Just click on the "lent 2011" tag on my page.)
