The April Challenge

The April Challenge will have the theme "Poetry", in honor of the fact that April is National Poetry Month, and we are asking the participants to try their hand at a poem! To receive your element, respond to this post and tell me if you want a noun, verb, adjective or adverb. You will be given one word to use. You may use it in the poem or the title, or just use it as inspiration.

Because we have not done a poetry challenge before, I'll be making some posts about poetry at the LOTR_Community_GFIC email group. There will be posts about different types of poems and links to sites on writing poetry.

The April challenge poems will be due the weekend of Friday April 15,and will be revealed on Monday, April 18. Please tag your story "poem". Please remember to use the header template on the community profile page, and to put the name of your story and your name in the subject line.

To request your word, please leave a comment saying whether you want a noun, verb, adjective or adverb, to this post. If you have not participated before, please leave an email address so that I can send you your elements. Or you can email the mods at or
